Dreamscapes: The Sandman: Chapter Nine: The Ritual

Depend on our Dreamscapes: The Sandman Walkthrough to help you navigate the dark recesses of Laura's nightmare as you attempt to save her from the vile Sandman who has trapped her. Our beautifully marked screenshots, puzzle solutions, and detailed step-by-step instructions will help you locate the missing pieces of Laura's dreamcatcher and put an end to this night terror once and for all!


It is time to put a stop to the SANDMAN and release Laura from his evil clutches. We find ourselves once again in the long hallway, and Laura is being kept behind barred doors. We’re going to have to use force to get through!

  • The numbers in the images relate to the instructions below

Hallway

  • 1. Use the APPLE in your inventory and place it on the hands of the STRANGE DOLL (circled in red above). Once you do this, its head will turn and give you some DYNAMITE
  • 2. Check the WINDOW circled in green above. On the windowsill you’ll find a RED CRAYON and another piece of the dreamcatcher.
  • 3. Head further down the HALLWAY (circled in yellow above).

 

Dynamite

  • 4. Check the sticks of dynamite that are attached to the boarded door. Take the DYNAMITE from your inventory and place it on the left side. This should start the DYNAMITE PUZZLE.

 

DYNAMITE PUZZLE
The object of this puzzle is to arrange the wires so that each indicator on the sticks of dynamite turns green. The numbers written on each dynamite stick represents the color of a wire.

  • 1 = Yellow
  • 2 = Pink
  • 3 = Light Blue
  • 4 = Blue
  • 6 = Green
  • 7 = Orange
  • If a dynamite stick for example has 2 and 1 on it, it should have wires that are colored Pink and Yellow, and so on. The image below shows the puzzle with two of the dynamite sticks already armed.

 

Dynamite Puzzle

  • Once you finish the puzzle, return to the HALLWAY.
  • 5. Check the DETONATOR (circled in white in the HALLWAY image above. Use the DETONATOR HANDLE in your inventory to complete the connection. Give it a push and blow that barrier to bits.

 

Unsealed Door

  • 6. Before you head inside, grab the dreamcatcher piece hanging on the door (circled in green above)

 

Ritual 1

  • You enter the room and find the SANDMAN busy performing his evil ritual on Laura. Fortunately, it seems he’s too busy to notice you.
  • 7. Investigate the MIRROR on the side of the ritual area (circled in blue above). Take the MIRROR SHARD from your inventory and reconstruct the mirror.
  • 8. Check the small indentation circled in green above. There should be a crystal here, and we’re going to have to find it. Take the BROWN CRAYON for your inventory and head back to the CATWALK area.

 

Catwalk

  • 9. There is a picture hanging on the side of the CATWALK (circled in blue above). If you look at it closely parts of it seems to have been left uncolored. Finish coloring the picture by using your GREEN CRAYON, BLUE CRAYON, RED CRAYON and BROWN CRAYON.

 

Coloring

  • Once the picture is colored in, a panel opens revealing a CRYSTAL. Take it and head back to where Laura and the SANDMAN are. Place the CRYSTAL at the place where you found the BROWN CRAYON.
  • The crystals begin to float, and you’ll need to move them to create a bridge towards Laura. The proper sequence of the different colored crystals from bottom to top are BROWN, RED, GREEN, BLUE and VIOLET as shown below:

 

Bridge

  • 10. Once the bridge has been constructed, check he area circled in red above. BENNY should be there waiting for you, and he’ll hand you the last missing piece of the dreamcatcher.
  • 11. Rebuild the dreamcatcher by clicking on the dreamcather icon (circled in blue above).

 

Dreamcatcher

  • The dreamcatcher should look like the image above. If you get a piece in the right place it will automatically lock in.
  • 12. With the dreamcatcher fully rebuilt, climb up the bridge to where Laura is (circled in violet in the ritual image above)

 

Laura

  • 13. Give Laura the fully constructed dreamcatcher. With its power she breaks free of the SANDMAN’s spell.

 

The SANDMAN, surprised by this new turn of events flees from Laura’s dream. As the dreamcatcher breaks the SANDMAN’s hold on Laura, she awakens from her dream. Your mission is over, but with the SANDMAN still free, this may only be the beginning.
