Grim Facade-Mystery of Venice is a hidden object adventure. You will have to solve puzzles and hidden object scenes (sometimes more than once), pick up items, and examine lots of objects. Be sure to check out everything in each scene. The game is not overly long to play and would make for an enjoyable way to pass the time on a weekend.
I just finished playing Grim Facade-Mystery of Venice. Ahh, there is nothing like romantic Venice in the winter. Unless there is a plague and people are mysteriously disappearing from the canals. Which, in this case, there are all those things. The thing that made the game great, despite the severe and potentially deadly bacterial infection, and missing persons, was the beautiful graphics and, oddly enough, great background music. I say this because usually I play with the sound off, to avoid the eerie and monotonous music often found in hidden object games. I really enjoyed the sometimes pirate-themed melodies, and the sound effects were not annoying but added to the game play quite nicely. I was loving the Italian accent of the characters... and then I heard the daughter... umm, like what century are you like from... Okay, enough of that. It really is a great game.
Grim Facade-Mystery of Venice is a hidden object adventure. The game starts out with two women in fancy dresses disappearing into the canals. You are hired by the husband and father of the two, and you head out into the streets of Venice to investigate. You will have to solve puzzles and hidden object scenes (sometimes more than once), pick up items, and examine lots of objects. Be sure to check out everything in each scene. Some missions cannot be completed right away and clicking on objects and areas can open up hidden object scenes in other parts of the game. There is a diary in the lower-left corner, but I did not use it very often. You can find bonus items in hidden object scenes, which add to your hint count in the lower-right corner of the game. The game is not overly long to play and would make for an enjoyable way to pass the time on a weekend.
