I had the pleasure of playing The Clockwork Man - The Hidden World during my free moments over the weekend (and I got to admit that I kind of ignored doing some stuff I should have been doing to do so!). I had not played the original Clockwork Man but I found that this game stood alone quite well.

We rejoin Miranda eight years later as she tries to solve the mystery of her parents' disappearance. The game starts somewhat precipitously several days into the search before going back to the beginning, but all becomes clear. The game is beautifully rendered with wonderful music and excellent voice acting. The puzzles are challenging without being impossible. All in all it is simply a charming hidden object game with an engaging storyline.
Note that there are two versions of this game. Released at Big Fish Games is the standard version; however, there is also a premium edition and the video above does show images from the bonus level in the submarine. This level is not just an add on level at the end but includes the operation of the submarine in the middle of the game.
