I wasn't sure what to expect with a game called Airport... but from the description it sounded intriguing - land planes without crashing, and step into the shoes of an air traffic controller... without the life altering stress? Okay!
At first, I wasn't sure what was going on... the instructions were a bit off and not very helpful, but once I got the hang of it, I quickly began planning my flight plans like a pro.
Once you begin, it's fairly easy as only a few aircraft are flying around and they all go at varying speeds depending on what it is. Helicopters are the slowest and need to go to the helicopter pad. Yellow planes go to the yellow runway and are fairly speedy, but not as fast as the red jets that need to land on the red runway.
Once you get a few aircraft landed safely, things begin to intensify with more and more planes to land. I was quickly trying to do damage control before I had any crashes on my hands.
Airport keeps going until you finally can't take it anymore and you let the unthinkable happen... a midair collision.
My record so far was 30 aircraft landed safely but I'm sure I could beat that with a little more practice...
Overall, Airport was surprisingly an extremely entertaining and addicting game that certainly held my attention.
