Opening Story:

In Rite of Passage: Hide and Seek, years ago a stange girl arrived in your town and gave you a chant to read aloud. After the words were spoken, a strange fog appeared and took the children you were playing with including your brother. Now, years later, after the death of your mother, you discover that your parents were keeping secrets from you all this time. When you discover your father was still alive back in the town of Greystone, back where it all began, you decide to confront him, only to find yourself being stalked by a familiar girl... can you muster your courage and face the fog and the creature that lurks in it?

General Tips for Rite of Passage: Hide and Seek

Difficulty Settings - There are four difficulty settings in this game, Haze, Mist, Fog, Custom.

Magnifying Glass - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass, it means you can zoom in on an area to get a closer look.

Hand Cursor - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an item and add it to your inventory or interact with an object in some way.

Hints - Hints are available throughout the game and can be found in the lower left corner to give you help when you need it. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, these take time to charge before you can use it again.

Inventory - Your inventory can be found at the bottom of the screen. Click the padlock on the left to lock it in place.

Map - The map can be found in the lower left-hand corner. Click on an area to fast travel to it.

Navigation Arrow - These will appear when you are able to move to another screen. Click on it to move.

Menu - The menu button is found in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.

Journal - Your journal is located in the bottom right corner of your screen. Objectives and notes will be stored here.

Hidden Object Scenes - Hidden object scenes will sparkle. Some items will require an extra step to find them.

Plus Items - Items with a plus sign will allow you to examine them further or combine them with other items. 

Puzzles - During puzzles and mini-games, the skip button will let you skip the puzzle once it's fully charged.

Handprints - There are 43 handprints to find in the CE.

Gears - When your cursor turns into gears, it means you can use an item from your inventory in this location.
